Kikuchi has short, thin-cut brown hair that sticks up in a messy way. His eyes are yellow-orange, usually described as "amber." Natsume describes his eye color to be "like the melted evening sun."

At school, Ryou wears the white shirt of his school uniform with the collar dramatically popped up. On top of this, he wears a purple sweater with a single yellow stripe running through its collar. At Natsume's funeral, he ditches his sweater and adds on his uniform blazer and red tie.

In some casual scenes, Kikuchi wears a white V-neck with a thick black stripe through its collar underneath a large, puffy winter jacket. His jacket has a fluffy inner hood, but the outside is dark blue. It has a reverse-colored, upside down Nike logo on its left breast. He also wears black jeans.

His other casual outfit is a large, fully zipped-up dark green jacket with a tall, flat collar. The jacket has two black vertical zippers on either side of his chest, and the logo on it bears similarity to another real life brand.

Ryou likes sportswear, especially brand-name sneakers. However, because he is in a bad financial situation, he tends to buy inexpensive clothes from supermarkets or second-hand stores. Minato sometimes helps him pick out clothes. There are four routes in FallDown: Kikuchi Ryou, Toujou Minato, Morichika Haruki, and Suou Keito. It does not matter what order you complete them in. However, it is recommended that you save Suou Keito's route for last, as his route is the most confusing.

In DownFall, it does not matter what order you complete the routes for Kikuchi Ryou, Toujou Minato, Morichika Haruki, and Suou Keito, although again, it is recommended that you save Suou Keito's for last.

After getting all four of these endings, you will get the option for the last two routes. On the way to these two endings, you will have the option to select between four characters' interludes. It does not matter what order you view these interludes, although it is recommended that you view the last character's interlude last. Which interlude you choose to watch does not impact the endings at all, so you can go back and view the other characters' interludes whenever you want.
