Morichika Haruki
"I doubted anyone else was looking forward to the end of the world as much as I did.
My life had always felt like I'd been watching it in third person — like a movie.
If it were to end, I would want it to be a spectacle.
Make it an ensemble cast work, even. Something large-scale that would downplay my personal pain.
That way, I wouldn't have to bear this shivering on my own."
—Morichika Haruki
Morichika Haruki (森近 春樹) is one of the attendees of Natsume Souichirou’s funeral. He was Natsume’s childhood friend, as they attended the same church when they were kids.
Haruki is older than the other funeral attendees and passes his days gambling with pachinko and horse racing. As he is homeless, he frequently seduces women so that he has a place to sleep for the night.
Haruki’s Mamiya is a nurse girl he found sleeping in a manga cafe. She fusses over Haruki’s health, much to his disgruntlement.
Over the course of the story, he befriends the other funeral attendees, as well as Mina, the Cinderella Maid of Akihabara.
