Warning! The following section contains spoilers for aspects of MAMIYA's story. Proceed with caution.

The Trichiliocosm is referenced many times throughout the story, most often by MAMIYA right before a character's death. In its original context of Buddhist cosmology, it refers to a billion world-systems, while in MAMIYA, it is revealed to be another name for the Upper Layer's library and its endless stories.

In Buddhism

Origin & history
From tri- + chilia- + Ancient Greek κόσμος‎ ("world"), partially calquing Sanskrit त्रिसहस्रमहासहस्रलोकधातु‎ (literally "three thousand million world element").

Noun
trichiliocosm (pl. trichiliocosms)

1. (Buddhism) A concept in cosmology of a "third-order" universe containing one thousand second-order clusters, which are made of one thousand first-order clusters, which are in turn made of a thousand worlds each. Billion-fold universe.[1]

In MAMIYA

The first time any reader sees reference to the Trichiliocosm would be at the end of Kikuchi Ryou, Toujou Minato, and Morichika Haruki's FallDown routes, when each of their MAMIYAs leads them to a self-destructive death and welcomes them to the Trichiliocosm. There is no mention of it in Suou Keito's FallDown route.
