Kikuchi Ryou (菊池 リョウ) is one of the attendees of Natsume Souichirou’s funeral. He was one of Natsume’s classmates, although they weren’t close.
Ryou’s Mamiya is a small boy with a bunny mask on his head. He speaks like an old man and refers to himself as Ryou’s dad.
Ryou is the older brother of Kikuchi Midori and the childhood friend of Toujou Minato. During the course of the story, he also becomes close friends and penpals with Suou Keito.

He works hard at his after school part-time job and takes over parenting duties for his much younger little sister, as their mother is often away from home.
Ryou is the type to punch first and ask questions later.

Appearance
Kikuchi has short, thin-cut brown hair that sticks up in a messy way. His eyes are yellow-orange, usually described as "amber." Natsume describes his eye color to be "like the melted evening sun."
He first appears at Natsume's funeral wearing an oversized black suit and red tie, with a white collared shirt underneath, and his tan, checkered school uniform pants. In his default outfit, Ryou wears the inner layers of the school uniform (also shown to be worn by Natsume and Toujou). His purple vest, which has a knitted collar with a single yellow stripe through its length, is worn on top of a white shirt with its collar dramatically popped up.
In some casual scenes, Kikuchi wears a white V-neck with a thick black stripe through its collar underneath a large, puffy winter jacket. His jacket has a fluffy inner hood, but the outside is dark blue. It has a reverse-colored, upside down Nike logo on its left breast. He also wears black jeans.
His other casual outfit is a large, fully zipped-up dark green jacket with a tall, flat collar. The jacket has two black vertical zippers on either side of his chest, and the logo on it bears similarity to another real life brand.
