Morichika Haruki (森近 春樹) is one of the attendees of Natsume Souichirou’s funeral. He was Natsume’s childhood friend, as they attended the same church when they were kids.
Haruki is older than the other funeral attendees and passes his days gambling with pachinko and horse racing. As he is unhoused, he frequently seduces women so that he has a place to sleep for the night.
Haruki’s Mamiya is a nurse girl he finds sleeping in a manga cafe. She fusses over Haruki’s health, much to his disgruntlement.
Over the course of the story, he befriends the other funeral attendees, as well as Mina, the Cinderella Maid of Akihabara.

A young man who is always cloaked in the same Mod coat and a plume of cigarette smoke.
Haruki is careless with life and with sex, and he spends his days playing pachinko. He has a ridiculous amount of self-confidence and doesn’t mind competing with even younger opponents. He has an interest in motorcycles. Surprisingly, he’s also an avid reader.
The cigarettes Haruki smokes are Caster brand. Their sweet vanilla scent wafts after him as he uses his quick tongue to get himself invited into women’s homes for the night.
He has an older brother he is estranged from.[1]

Haruki is a womanizer, loved by older women who treat him like a little brother. A habitual smoker, he likes movies and dislikes loud places. The nurse Mamiya is always nice to the friendless man in poor health.[2]

The only adult of the funeral group, Haruki has more mature facial features than the others. He has sharp purple eyes and pink hair, and multiple characters remark that he is handsome. His fashion sense is utilitarian, choosing to wear a Mod coat, V-neck, jeans, and boots in the winter. However, he does accessorize with jewelry such as a ring on a necklace, silver rings on his hands, and several earrings, which may contribute to why Haruki's appearance is described as "flashy." [4]
Unlike the other characters, Haruki has a limited wardrobe, only having two outfits: his default casual outfit and the suit he wears to Natsume's funeral. This is likely because he drifts around and has limited access to clothing; he is stated to only buy from second-hand stores. He likes vintage jeans and band shirts. Haruki sometimes receives clothes as gifts from women, but if they don't match his taste, then he doesn't wear them. That said, he does own a wide variety of shoes and jewelry, and he wears perfume.
